Base
The base must be clean, solid, and dust-free. Remove any substances that could impair adhesion, such as dust and oils, before applying the plaster. Apply a metal lath sheet where the base material (such as brick or concrete) and the plaster meet. Large, over 40-mm fillings require multiple layers which are applied one at a time with at least one day between each layer to allow enough time for the plaster to set.
Mixing
Refer to the bag for how much water the plaster requires. Mix for approximately one to two minutes using a power mixer or drill paddle. Allow the plaster to stand for approximately 10 minutes, and mix it briefly anew. Find the correct consistency at this stage by gradually adding the rest of the water. We do not recommend adding all of the water right at the start. The finished plaster remains workable for over an hour.
Work instructions
Product is applied as an even and at least 10-mm-thick coat with a plaster sprayer or a steel trowel over the entire area to be covered. If you apply more than one layer of plaster, make the surface of the first layer rough by scratching it with a wooden float and apply the new layer as wet-on-wet, so before the first layer has fully set. The surface is lapped with a wet cell foam sponge and smoothed with a steel trowel. In necessary, the surface can be levelled with Fescon Finishing plaster LRF before it is painted.
Service instructions
A dirty surface can be carefully wiped with a damp sponge, levelled with a Finishing plaster LRF, or painted.
