Base
The filler must have properly hardened and be at least two or three days old before the finishing plaster is applied. The base must also not have been floated smooth. If necessary, wet the base before applying the finishing plaster.
Mixing
Refer to the bag for how much water the plaster requires. Add the dry material to the water and mix with a concrete mixer for around ten minutes. With a power mixer or a drill paddle, around one to three minutes of mixing is sufficient. Allow the plaster to stand for around ten minutes and mix it again for a short while. Find the correct consistency at this stage by gradually adding the rest of the water. We do not recommend adding all of the water right at the start. Every batch must be mixed in the same way. The finished plaster remains workable for around two to three hours. Lowest usage temperature +5°C.
Work instructions
Finishing plaster is normally applied with a plastering pump, but manual slamming is also possible. The total layer thickness will be 3-5 mm. You can create different surface structures by varying the plaster plasticity, nozzle size, air volume and spraying distance. The suitable spraying distance for a plaster sprayer is around 1 metre, and around 0.6 metres for a funnel top sprayer. Spraying from too close to the surface will easily result in shiny patches. The finishing plaster’s surface is either left as is or floated.
After treatment
A finishing plastering should be given aftercare for at least three days. The aftercare must be begun as early as possible so that plastic cracks in the fresh plaster can be prevented.
