Mixing
Refer to the package for how much water the putty requires. Add the dry material to the water and mix with a drill paddle for around one to two minutes. Let the putty stand for at least fifteen minutes and mix it again for a short while. The finished putty remains workable for one day.
Work instructions
Spread the putty on the base either with a levelling spray or a steel trowel. You can recover and reuse any extra putty. When applying several layers of putty, allow the previous layer to harden completely before applying the next layer. Depending on the conditions, the hardening will take one to two days. If necessary, the dried surface is ground after the application of each layer of putty.
Apply the Joint Filler putty into the joint so that it fills the recess formed by the tapered edges. Use a wide steel trowel to press the jointing tape into the putty. Apply putty on top of the jointing tape until it fills the joint area. Finally, use a wide steel trowel to spread the putty so that it is level with the board surfaces. Once the putty has dried, finish the joints with dry grinding abrasive paper. In wall corners and the joints of walls and the ceiling, bend the jointing tape into a 90o angle and press it into the putty with a steel trowel. Apply more putty on top of the tape and finish the corner. The heads of screws and nails are treated twice with putty. After the first layer has dried, perform an intermediate grinding. Perform the final grinding after the putty is fully dry.
The puttied surface can be papered or painted.
Other considerations
Do not leave the putty in the pumps and hoses for longer than a day. Excess moisture of the structure may cause yellowing of the putty.
