Liquid accelerator (Component C) for use in solvent-free Nanten epoxy coatings, designed to reduce the curing time of epoxy-based products.

Mixing

The A-component of Nanten SL Bio epoxy coating must first be mixed to a uniform consistency. A small portion of Part A is set aside – refer to the Mixing Ratio section for guidance. Nanten EP Accelerator is added to Part A and mixed thoroughly for one minute. Then, Part B is added and mixed for two minutes, avoiding air entrapment in the mixture. Finally, the mixture is poured into a clean container and mixed for an additional one minute, again avoiding air entrapment.

Mixing ratio 

The use of the additive accelerates the curing reaction. It is recommended to prepare no more than 2–4 litres of coating mixture at a time.

When used with patch repairs and priming layers, Nanten EP Accelerator should be added at a maximum of 3% by weight of the total coating mixture.
Example 1: 0.75 litres of Nanten SL Bio Part A + 3% (= 42 g = 43.3 ml) Nanten EP Accelerator + 0.25 litres of Nanten SL Bio Part B
Example 2: 2 litres of Nanten MH Bio Part A + 3% (= 99 g = 102 ml) Nanten EP Accelerator + 1 litre of Nanten HM Bio Part B
